Apologies for the dark picture, but say hello the front side of Satchel. Now you see why I'm knitting for Team Making It Up As I Go Along. See the way the pattern changes on a whim? I love it. Especially the i-cord bind off. It's so finished! (No, not Finnish.)I'm working on the flap now, which will have four starbursts across it. Then I can make the strap, which I think would be fun to attach with giant buttons. (Meaning I'd have to go find some, but whatever.) I'm thinking, after felting, cut vertical buttonholes in the strap — two per side — and have one or two buttons to hold it down. I think I'd have to have some mad sewing skills, though, to make the buttons so secure, so we'll see how this one pans out.
It's time to work on the flap. And watch my brothers get their dance on one last time.
